SUMMARY/PURPOSE

 

 

The purpose of this position is to perform deep cleaning of bakery, including walls, ovens and equipment according to the master cleaning schedule.

 

                                                                                                                             

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                 

  • Performs routine cleaning according to written standards. 
  • Ensures food safety by not using cleaning chemicals in food zones when product is present.  Makes sure that bottles are returned to the mechanical room and not left in food zones.  Ensures that all cleaning bottles are properly labeled. 
  • Documents his/her progress in regards to the master cleaning schedule
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of mechanical room.  Informs supervisor when running low on cleaning solutions.   Keeps mop heads off the floor and stores them in a hanging position when not in use. 
  • Maintains grounds outside of bakery as per seasonal demands.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum requirements in terms of educational background work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four (4) hours. 
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and move up to 50 pounds frequently. 
  • Must possess finger and hand dexterity for working on machines with hand tools.
  • Must demonstrate cooperative behaviors such as effective communications with others and showing respect for others at all times.
  • Demonstrated ability to be punctual.
  • Demonstrated reliability in attendance and consistency in performing job duties.
  • Must demonstrate ability to follow standard procedures, with excellent attention to detail.
