Welcome to all the Dislocated Workers of
Macy's North
Minnesota Job Partners provides this Dislocated Worker Program in order to help you prepare for new employment. Please review a summary of the program benefits so that you are aware of the opportunities available to you.
Please remember to stay in touch with your counselor at least once per month to let them know of your progress. And when you find your next job, please call to let your counselor know of your success!
Orientation and Registration Session
This session is the first of two steps in becoming enrolled in the program.
It includes an orientation to the program services and completing the paperwork for eligibility.
When you attend the Registration/Enrollment session, there are several things to bring:
1) Your Layoff Letter from Macy's
2) Your Social Security card, or W-2 form
3) Your Drivers License
4) Your Birth Cerfiticate
Registration sessions are held each week at our Minneapolis office. For a schedule view our calendar of events, and call 612-676-3710
Counselor Meetings
This face to face meeting with your counselor is step two in the enrollment process. During this session you and your counselor will begin to create an Individual Employment Plan (IEP). This plan will guide you to assess your needs, set goals, identify needed training, and select job search strategies that will result in attaining your next job.
When you complete the Registration session you will be able to sign up for a time to meet with your counselor. Counselors will begin meeting with you onsite at Macy's HQ beginning Monday April 7th. Meetings are held near the Career Center on the 7th Floor.
Job Search Workshops
Right Management Consulting is onsite conducting services for Macy's employees in the Seventh Floor Career Center. Please take advantage of these excellent services. After access to the Right Management services has ended, you can take advantage of workshops by Job Partners.
Check the monthly calendar to find the dates and times for these workshops. Call to register for workshops and verify schedule. 612-676-3710.
