The Dislocated Worker Program is a State-funded grant, so there is no cost to you. We strongly recommend that you enroll in this valuable program.

Orientation/Registration Session

This session is the first of two steps in becoming enrolled in the program. This gives an overview of the benefits of the program and takes you through the application process.

Counselor Meetings

Individual meetings with counselors will begin Individual Employment Planning. Once this meeting is completed you will be fully enrolled and ready to receive all the valuable services of this program.

This workshop helps you assess your current skills, interests, and work values to provide the valuable information you need to decide on an employment goal.

Job Search/Interviewing Toolkit

Develop skills necessary for a successful job search. Learn about current employment trends, informational interviewing and the hidden job market. Learn how to market yourself on the telephone, fill out job applications, prepare for an interview, negotiate when offered a job, and access job lines and Internet resources. Learn tools for interview planning, preparation and research.

Resume Development Workshop

Learn the "Do’s and Don'ts" about resumes. Discover the best resume format for your employment goal. Identify your key skills. Complete a worksheet to organize all the information needed for a quality resume.

Mature Worker Job Search Strategies

We may be over 40, but we’re not over the hill. Learn issues over-40 workers face in the job search, and how to address them effectively with employers.

Your Career Brand

This workshop helps you identify what makes you distinctive and valuable in order to focus all your job search communications toward communicating your value to employers.
