Minnesota Job Partners has been selected by a committee of your colleagues to provide this Dislocated Worker Program in order to help you prepare for new employment. Please review a summary of the program benefits so that you are aware of the opportunities available to you.

The Dislocated Worker Program is a State-funded grant that will run from July 2008 to December 31, 2009. You will also have access to services Pearson has contracted from Right Management Consulting to help you with this transition as well. We will coordinate so that both programs work for your benefit. We strongly recommend that you participate in both programs.

Registration Session

This session is the first of two steps in becoming enrolled in the program. We have completed 5 sessions onsite at Pearson. If you have not been able to attend and want to participate, call Kevin Bjork at 763-253-9194.

Counselor Meetings

Individual meetings with counselors were held onsite to begin Individual Employment Planning. If you were not able to meet and need to reschedule, call your counselor directly, or call Kevin Bjork at 763-253-9194.

Job Search Workshops

Pearson Job Fair

On August 13th we held a small Job Fair onsite at Pearson. Companies attending included:

Alliance One, Capella Unviersity, Comcast, Medtronic, Resources for Child Caring/Redleaf Press, Thomson reuters, Trend Enterprises. Target and 3M were interested, but unable to attend. They do have job openings, so please follow up by using their corporate websites.
