EQ: The Real Fitness Test

What does EQ have to do with change? Everything! Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the ability to effectively manage oneself in the midst of complexity and chaos, build tolerance, resilience, and adaptability, and gives the ability to relate effectively with others. Participants in this session will explore the three core competencies that are the foundation of EQ: self-reflection, empathy, and self-regulation. Participants will
learn how EQ plays a powerful role in all aspects of their personal and professional lives. In this session participants will become aware of their EQ Fitness and how it relates to the job search process. You will leave with tools to strengthen your EQ Fitness.
Communicating with Style

Effective communication often means the difference between success or failure when interviewing and networking. Do you know your communication style and how it impacts your interactions during interviews and networking? After this session, participants will be able to answer with a confident "YES!". Each participant will take an assessment to identify his or her communication style. Dr. Heather Johnson will then help participants understand their personal style, identify others' styles, and adapt to communicate more effectively and achieve success.
Confidence: Get it, Keep it!
When you are as qualified as anyone else for a job, then it is confidence that makes the difference and sets you apart. This dynamic workshop will assist you in increasing your Job Search Confidence, so that you feel it when you need it. Learn techniques for bringing it back when you lose it, and how to express your confidence in a powerful way.
