WELCOME FORMER UCARE EMPLOYEES

A committee of your peers has selected Minnesota Job Partners (MJP) as your provider of Dislocated Worker Program services. We understand what you are going through in losing your jobs. Nearly all of us at MJP have experienced a layoff ourselves. The Dislocated Worker Program is all we do, and it shows in the success of our clients. You can feel confident knowing we will help you through this transition, providing support, guidance, and years of expertise to get you back to work, quickly, and with high wages.

This page will be updated with current information you & your peers need to know about program benefits, upcoming enrollment sessions, counselor meetings, workshops, and more. Additionally, you can follow us on Twitter, join our LinkedIn group (for MJP clients only), like us on Facebook, or follow us on Pinterest for the most up-to-the-minute information on events tailored to our participants, relevant tips on your job search, and exclusive job postings.

We understand the stress you're going through in losing your jobs; our goal is to make this process a little easier for you by brining together years of industry knowledge, subject matter experts, and a real passion for improving our communities.

The result is something really special: a group of devoted professionals behind you who truly want to help you thrive and realize your full potential (and maybe even bring some hidden dreams to light?!).

Our whole team looks forward to working with you!

THE FIRST STEP - ENROLLMENT SESSIONS

Beginning on Wednesday, November 4th, we will hold on-site group enrollment sessions to get you on the fast track to program participation. You'll hear a 10 minute presentation on the benefits of the State's Dislocated Worker Program. Then, our Enrollment Specialist Teresa Day will walk you through the required enrollment forms and answer any questions you may have.

At the end of your session you will have the opportunity to sign-up to meet one-on-one with one of our experienced counselors (also on-site). After meeting with your counselor and providing all required documentation, you will officially be enrolled, meaning you are eligible for all program benefits.

You do not need to register for a session, just attend whichever session is most convenient for you. If you can't make to one of these sessions, don't worry! We will hold additional sessions in the future.

FAST, PERSONALIZED SERVICE

MJP will hold on-site workshops on topics you want more information on. You will each receive 16 hours of paid time off to help you with job search activities between today and your layoff date. In addition to the Dislocated Worker Program, you are also eligible for services through Right Management. We will communicate with you and our contacts at Right Management to ensure an efficient use of your time and to avoid duplication of services.

These programs are complimentary and we encourage you to take advantage of both. The unique benefit the Dislocated Worker Program offers is funding for training and financial support. The more individuals from UCare who enroll with us, the larger the grant will be to support your training and support services. Enrolling will help you AND your peers!
