Dislocated Worker Program

Our Dislocated Worker Program provides understanding and knowledgeable assistance to workers who are laid off through no fault of their own. Using state and federal funds, we provide career counseling, education, and financial support to those in career transition - all at no cost to our participants.

Losing your job is a challenging life event.

Job loss can affect self-esteem and mental health, cause financial worry, and add stress to your life.

You don't have to do it alone! Our compassionate, professional counselors will work with you every step of the way until you are back to work.

Are you part
of a layoff project?

Our Current Projects:

We provide assistance to workers laid off through no fault of their own due to a plant closing, downsizing, or a mass layoff involving 50 or more workers. The Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development sets up a special grant for workers in mass layoff situations.

For more information on a specific project, click on the respective project name on the right of the screen.

We also provide assistance to those laid off from smaller layoff events (less than 50) with a special grant from the State. The same benefits are available to this population as the mass layoff grants.
